Delta Misses With World Cup Tweet: We’ve all experienced our share of airline blunders. Whether it was this fellow, who was flew to the wrong country and is now suing British Airways or Delta Airlines who tweeted a picture of a giraffe to represent Ghana after the World Cup match against the U.S. Some of the tweets that followed were pretty fantastic, my favorite of which was “I’m guessing when you book a flight to any of Nigeria, Kenya, the Ivory Coast or Ghana, @Delta tickets just say ‘Africa, whatever.’ Delta’s response was pretty ho-hum, and in my opinion, they missed an opportunity to poke fun at themselves and engage with their audience.
